Next project will be an 8speed hub at the moment just testing it out and it seems to be ok ....

Tested ok so had the drive cog cut and fitted

I will have to buy and fit a 22 tooth cog to the hub .also make a smaller front cog as the ratio is not what I want .

As it is all the 8 gears work but will have to wait till I get the 22 tooth cog for the hub and have a smaller front cog made up .

Hi just been testing the 8 speed hub and here are the results :
The figures down below are for one complete turn of the peddles

1st gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 1.08 just over 1

2nd gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 1.25

3rd. gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 1.50

4th gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 1.60

5th gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 2.00 at this point it's the same as a standded C5

6th gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 2.40. At this point you would be overriding the motor

7th gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 2.75

8th gear for one full turn of the peddles the rear wheels will turn 3.25

All these figures are from the main peddle crank having 32 teeth the standded being 42 teeth

Not sure what speed I will be able to achieve in 8th gear but I will fit a speedometer
