Here's my first attempt at creating the small cogs from the gearbox: They are printed as 100% solid fill to make them as strong as possible: Ready for the road: Will they be strong enough? I've done some testing, taking the C5 around the block with some standing starts. Will leave them in there and see how the gearbox looks in a month or so after a lot more use

Hi Dan,

congratulations, yet another rare part made available. Hope they hold up as good if not better that the originals.

If they do hold up the next challenge of course will be the drive cog.

Thanks Karl The dream is to remake the whole gearbox on a 3d printer. Though I know the outer section and the main cog will not be strong enough with 3d printed plastic, making them instead with metal is the more likely route to take

Hi Dan,

I see, so you're going in for a metal 3D printer.

Just arrived in the post today. 3D printed gearbox cogs made in Nylon and Steel (My printer can only do PLA). Will have a look at weekend and see how good they are:

Hi Dave, It would be nice to make it all metal but it will cost too much I think remaking them in nylon is the better option.
