Hi all, I restored my c5 last year and everything was fine, I put it away until last week and now it doesn't work! Fuses in the control box are fine, the pod lights are not working now so I had the pod checked and its fine,
Any suggestions?

Hi Carl,

Welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear about the C5 not working.  You say you've checked the POD, was that by putting it on another C5 to test?

If the POD works on another C5 it may be something in the control box, like the regulator.  It could also be a bad connection on the red wiring connector.  Give the connector a wiggle on the POD end.

Do you have a multimeter to test the voltage to the POD and to continuity test the connections between POD and control box?

If you need help testing either the POD or control box you could post them to me and I will test it on a working C5 here?

Is the battery not dead ?

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply, nothing has been tested on another c5, just had the circuit board checked in the pod, couple of dry joints which have been sorted, thanks for the offer to send them to you, I will have another play with it later and see how I get on.

Yep, in that case I'd definitely double check the connector soldering as I've had this sort of problem a couple of times before

nothing lol can keep up with the traffic in hull on my 24 v lol that's the way to go mate

24v, nice maybe look into doing that one day, take mine down a country park with my son, the amount of interest we get is unreal

I have just put the control box back together after changing d1 diode which was split in 2, also I change the relay just in case, but still no joy! Could you recommend anything else I could check?

Hi have you checked the resister as the side of the relay (R1)it tends to get overheated and go open

Wot wiring harness are you using ? Is it 1 of chas's on ebay ? Or standard keyswitch ?

Took all the body off last night so I am gonna check each wire
