Hi there Dan not be long now wanted to test run it today but the new pump I got off ebay yesterday had a hole in one of the tubes and was useless also the gauge did not work ...So I tried the old pump and lost all the pressure in all tyres ,so the next thing I did was to take off all the wheels and took them down to the garage to get them pumped up ...so after that it was too late to take it out ,but will now be ready for a run in the morning ..ps the seller is replacing the pump and sending a envelope to send the damaged one back ...

SINCLAIR C5 CHAS posted:

Hi there Dan had a great time testing your C5 today just a few small problems , both brakes needed adjusting also boot clips need fitting but overall I had a great time it works great if you use the left side motor and go for a while you know when to peddle as it slows down all you do is to press the right side and the speed picks up great Also you can start with both motors and it goes great the only thing adding another large battery does not help but with your special battery's it will be great If one motor gets to hot just switch to the anther one and let the other cool down but if you use both they should not get to hot anyway
So I just want to do another run then we can make arraignments for you to collect it

Hi Chas,

Yep the 2 life golf cart batteries weigh about 5KG so I'm not worried about the weight  I was going to use the 2nd motor mainly for hills and of course to provide extra range when the left battery is low.

Glad to know you can start on the motor from still. Looking at the pics you've posted there's still room on the left motor to mount a cooling fan?  I know the right motor is too tight to fit a fan, but I'm not too worried about that overheating.  Will probably put a temp sensor on it to keep an eye on it though.
Bring on the next one
As you said the lighter battery's will be great ,Regarding a far on the left motor there is room to fit one just to keep it cool but if if it gets hot all you do is switch to the other motor and let the others cool down
Regarding a rest not yet I have 3 to do two of them are about finished the 3rd is stripped and now needs building up
