Saw this photo. I am able to have spray painting done very cheaply (I work in the motor trade). Though I wouldn't paint my 8/10 body I was wondering if I bought a pig of a body and painted that how easy is it to inter-change body shells?

Also it I was caught doing 30mph via a 24v conversion. Would I just be fined or would my driving licence get points. Thank you

Hi Simon,

Changing the body shells involves quite a bit of dismantling of the C5.  You need to remove the handlebars, pedals, bottom bracket, take all the wiring off it, remove the screws behind the Red light and remove the 4 bolts that hold the body to the chassis.  It is perfectly possible though.

Regarding the legality of using a 30mph C5, that would be a question for someone who knows the road traffic laws.  I suspect they would confiscate your C5

just put a speedo on and stick to 15 mph and just open it up every now and then

Not leaving you. I've advertised it at a silly price. If it sells I'll buy another. I have a key box connection fault now though. The reason the left side of the pod was flashing was because one of the two brown wires in the key box don't connect properly Now it works, until I hit a bump then turn off and on again fixes it as the spring in the key box makes a connection. I was out in my C5 today when you emailed. Attached is today's photo

LOL, the same thing if your car didn't have an mot, it would be confiscated Proving you were going too fast would be another matter

they would have to catch me first lol

24 mph Dave i think its time i tuned up my own ebike
