The Sinclair C5 original lights are power hungry and can melt the C5 body. Luckily there are low power LED versions that can be found on Ebay that are a straight swap for the original lights.

As these are LED lights, when installing you need to ensure they are the correct way around. It's best to insert the light into the socket and turn it on to see if it works. If it doesn't come on, simply remove it and install it the other way around.
