The final design of this I've made more condensed so the fan doesn't end up too close to the chain.  It no longer sits in the 3 holes on the back of the motor, but instead slots into the 2 larger sections on the back like this to improve the airflow:



And mounted to the motor with the fan on it:



For added peace of mind there is a 3mm hole on each connector allowing you to bolt it together when hooked onto the motor.  When you do this it is staying put

I also made a longer version of the normal 90mm connector that allows the plastic heat sensor to remain in place:

What colour did you get chas ? Got mine today and yes they are really good I'm pleased with mine going to put it on the 24 touch when I can get her out of the shed lol 7 bikes 2 c5`s lots of tools chest freezer and 3 deck chairs and other stuff all in a shed 12×10 time for a bigger shed lol
