Thanks to Chas I now have the twin motor C5 sat in the garage waiting to be completed.  I'll continue on this thread where Chas left off in the original one.

The aim here is to install the touchscreen and have the left hand motor run though that and the other motor running on its own relay (not controlled by the touschreen) but with the 2nd motor temp/current being measured and displayed on the screen.

First up is the bit I don't like doing: Installing the rear indicators:

Excuse the wiring that will all be tidied up in the coming weeks

Thanks Area!
So your having 2 sets of readings on the screen ?
Well, both motors will be running from 1 battery (2 batteries in parallel to be accurate) so I don't need to duplicate voltage and current as we have them already.  I'm thinking of using what is currently "Ambient Temperature" and instead attaching that to the other motor.  So there will be 2 separate temp readings, but the rest will be the same.

Because of the increased current usage I will need some better cabling from the current sensor to the battery. And also higher rated anderson connectors on the battery.  The current sensors can measure up to 200amps so I'll be okay with that.

Thanks Chas!

Have finished off this twin motor C5 now, well there's a couple of small things still to do.

As space in the back is now quite rare, I mounted the control box on the back of the seat. With the boot closed theres about 1cm gap between the box and the back of the boot:

Have been nipping up and down the road in it and it works great, using one motor is plenty for most roads and as soon as it starts to struggle on an incline the 2nd motor really helps

A question for you Chas: Have you got any pictures of C5's that have a rear brake light on? I just need some ideas how/where to mount a light

Other than the rear brake light, the front white shell needs to be straightend out a tiny bit and I somehow managed to snap one of the clips on the rear left indicator

The front disc brake works great too. I've got one on another C5 but don't really use that one much. It makes a hell of a difference compared to the normal front brake

I took this out today for a proper 19 mile test run. From a standing, start both motors get you up to speed in no time.  Overall it worked well, the front disk brake works great. Looking forward to taking it to Bournemouth next week
